Today, Wyke Sixth Form College students visited King’s College Cambridge for an exclusive open day and took part in an exciting programme of activities.King's College is one of the 31 constituent colleges that make up The University of Cambridge and was founded by King Henry VI in 144. It has continuously striven to uphold Henry’s love for ‘education, religion, learning and research.’The day consisted of a campus tour including the chapel and library, lectures with academic staff focusing on students’ subjects of interest, dinner in the prestigious dining hall, Q&A session with current students and a really valuable personal statement workshop. This experience formed part of Wyke’s Oxbridge Programme, which aims to inspire students and guide them through the highly competitive application process of two of the best universities in the world; Oxford and Cambridge.Thank you to The University of Cambridge for facilitating the day and we hope our students found it useful in preparing them for their next steps.#MakeItHappen
