Huge congratulations to Amelie Douglas (former Hornsea School) and Tilly Clarke (former St Mary’s College) on being selected for the Association of Colleges (AOC) England Netball Squad.
Over a challenging two-day trial, Amelie and Tilly’s exceptional game play and teamwork stood out, earning them a place on the national squad. This is an incredible achievement, especially considering the high level of competition from students across the country.
Head of Sport, Hollie Rhodes, shared her pride, "We are so proud of all the girls. Tilly and Amelie were unbelievable on the day, and to get two students on the national squad is amazing."
The AoC National Colleges Netball team have been operating for over 20 years providing a unique and exciting opportunity for talented netball players to play both domestic and international fixtures.
The team is made up of the finest athletes who meet up for intensive weekend training sessions and play several matches throughout the year against teams such as Northern Ireland National Squads, Netball Scotland National Squads, NSL and NPL squads.
