We welcome applications from any student with a genuine desire to continue study at the College.
Applications open on Thursday 24 October 2024 and our priority application window deadline is Sunday 23 February 2025.
Applications will remain open beyond this date, however if we receive your after this date you are not guaranteed to have a college interview or enrolment appointment.
Further support, advice and guidance on how to apply to Wyke Sixth Form College can be found on our website, Log On Move On and Lincs4U.
Once we have reviewed your application and if you have submitted this in the priority application window, you will be invited to have an interview.
The interview process consists of a conversation with a member of our admissions team and gives you an opportunity to talk about your interests, prior achievements, potential study programme and aspirations.
If you are attending an interview you should bring your most recent school report with you, which should include predicted grades, attendance and progress.
Following your interview, you will gain access to an applicant portal. This can be accessed here using the log in detail sent after your interview on email, letter and text: https://applicantportal.wyke.ac.uk/
This event is an opportunity for all of our applicants to revisit our campus and find out more about the “Wyke Experience”.
The event focuses on our fantastic enrichment programme, trip opportunities and the additional support available to students. At this event you can also meet your subject specialist teachers and get answers to your course questions.
This event is a two day, fully timetabled taster event for all applicants. You do not need to book to attend this event, the College will invite you. By attending this event you will have the opportunity to be taught two lessons in each of your subjects by our Level 3 specialist teachers, experience our amazing enrichment, explore the £30M university-style campus, meet the tutor team and start to make new friends.
Transport to the College is free for both days.
On the 2nd day, all students are provided with a free barbecue lunch, a great way to chat to your teachers and future classmates.
Following on from Wyke Start, you will be required to log into your applicant portal and confirm the 3 courses (or equivalent) you would like to be on your study programme, in priority order.
You can access the portal at: https://applicantportal.wyke.ac.uk/ with the log in details sent to you by email, letter and text.
Good luck on GCSE results day! We will be available throughout the day to offer advice and guidance.
Look out for your invitation to enrol at Wyke. Please attend your particular enrolment slot. Don’t forget to bring evidence of all your results, including those taken in year 10.
If you are unable to attend then please nominate a friend or family to attend as your representative. It's also time to complete your summer work so it’s ready to submit on the first day of College.
We can't wait for you to join us. You will receive a copy of your timetable at your meet and greet session on your very first day. Your first few days will offer an introduction to the course so that you can get to know your teachers and peers.
