Wyke is proud to announce that nine of our outstanding students have received offers from the prestigious Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Each of these students participated in the Wyke Oxbridge Programme, an academic enrichment initiative designed to prepare and support students through the rigorous Oxbridge application process.
This year, five students have secured offers from Oxford colleges, while four students have received conditional offers to study at Cambridge. Notably, 28% of Wyke students interviewed by Cambridge received an offer—10% above the average conversion rate. This exceptional success reflects the dedication of our students, the expertise of our teaching staff, and the effectiveness of our tailored Oxbridge support programme.
These offers span a diverse range of subjects, showcasing the strength of Wyke’s curriculum. Our students will be pursuing degrees in Law, History, Geography, Spanish and Linguistics, Medicine, PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics), HSPS (Human, Social, and Political Sciences), and Natural Sciences.
While this is a fantastic achievement, the journey doesn’t end here. Students must now focus on achieving the required A-level grades—typically at least AAA—to secure their places. These grades would also allow them to access other top universities, demonstrating their exceptional academic ability.
