At Wyke Sixth Form College, we believe that all students can achieve exceptional success. And now, the newly published government data confirms that Wyke students consistently achieve some of the best grades in the country for both A Levels and vocational qualifications.
Wyke continues to be one of the top-performing institutions in the UK, recognised as ABOVE AVERAGE in every level 3 qualification category, placing the college in the top 26% of sixth forms and colleges in the UK. This analysis is based upon students who completed their studies in the summer of 2024. Here's a summary of the published data.
859 students who completed at least one A Level in 2024 achieved an average grade of B-, placing their achievment in the ABOVE AVERAGE category.
When additional academic qualifications like the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) are included, the 873 students in this category continue to be ABOVE AVERAGE, also recorded an impressive B- average.
One of the key benefits of Wyke is the flexibility to combine vocational qualifications with A Level study. 720 students who completed Applied General and Technical Qualifications—including Applied Science, Engineering, Dance, IT, Criminology, Business, Health & Social Care, Sport, Performing Arts, Creative Media, Digital Music Production, and Applied Law—performed above expectations, achieving an ABOVE AVERAGE grade of Distinction Star.
