- Integration with pre-professional enrichments: Work alongside specialized programmes tailored to career-focused pathways like the Pre-Medical and Pre-Law enrichments.
This year, Flyers are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for students. On Tuesday, 21 January 2025, we will be visiting Hull University for an engaging and educational workshop hosted by Loud Speaker and Julie Peaks.
This day is designed to empower students with skills to boost their confidence, explore their strengths, and prepare for their future careers. Below are the details of the event.

- Cost: £3.00 (to be paid via ParentPay, along with consent and any additional forms)
- Lunch: Students must bring a packed lunch, as food will not be provided.

Students will be split into two groups to participate in tailored sessions:
Group 1
- 9:20 am: Welcome
- 9:30 am – 12:30 pm: Loud Speaker Workshop
- 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch
- 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Julie Peaks Session

Loud Speaker Workshop: "Love of Money"
This interactive session focuses on developing essential skills for professional success and community impact:
- Body Language: Learn to project confidence and professionalism in presentations, interviews, and networking.
- Voice Skills: Harness your voice to create positive changes in your community and relationships.
- Debate Practice: Participate in a lively debate to showcase how passion can persuade others to support your ideas.
Julie Peaks Session
Explore your personality traits, values, and skill set to gain insight into:
- Your natural strengths and areas for development.
- How to articulate your unique qualities effectively.
- Career pathways suited to your skills and aspirations.
This session will help students develop a better understanding of themselves and prepare for success at Wyke and beyond.
Important Information
- Transport:
- Students using college transport should meet in the atrium at 9:00 am to walk to Hull University with staff.
- Students not using college transport can meet directly at the university.
- End of the Day:
The event concludes at 3:30 pm. Students can either make their own way home or walk back to Wyke College to catch college transport. - Refunds:
Please note that refunds will not automatically be issued if your child cancels their place, as funds are allocated to secure bookings.
