An opportunity has arisen to contribute to a successful and highly ambitious College that is already in the top 5% of Sixth Form Colleges in the country. Wyke is an established, popular Sixth Form College with an outstanding reputation in the locality. The college draws students from Kingston-upon-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, and further afield. We are looking to appoint extra invigilators to work with our exams team to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible for students. The work will be on a casual basis, mainly in December, January, May and June of each year. However, ad hoc opportunities throughout the year will also be available.

The successful candidates will be organised with a calm, pleasant manner and experience of working with young people would be an advantage. Significant availability in the months of May and June is essential and those appointed will be required to attend training prior to commencement of the role and refresher training annually during the autumn term.

The College takes safeguarding extremely seriously and a full range of pre-employment checks as set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education including a satisfactory enhanced DBS with barred list check and an online search will be required for this post. All posts at the College are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and it is an offence for those barred from working with children to even apply for a role at the College.
