The itinerary includes two cutting-edge science museums that will bring biology to life in an unforgettable way:
🔬 ARTIS-Micropia – The world’s first museum dedicated to microbes, Micropia will allow students to explore the invisible world of microorganisms in an interactive and engaging setting. With over 40 species of living microbes, students will examine microscopic life under high-powered microscopes and witness the vital role microbes play in the natural world. Lab technicians working on-site will showcase how they care for these microbes in a fully functional laboratory within the museum.
🧬 BODY WORLDS Amsterdam – This globally renowned exhibition will take students on a fascinating journey through human anatomy. Featuring 200 real plastinated bodies, the exhibition will provide unparalleled insight into the structure of the human body and how lifestyle choices, particularly happiness, affect overall health. Originally created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, the exhibit has captivated over 40 million visitors worldwide since its launch in 1995. The Amsterdam location is a permanent exhibition, with an evolving focus—this year, students will explore the relationship between happiness and physical well-being.
