British Sign Language | Enrichment @ Wyke 6th Form College

INTRODUCING THIS EXCITING ENRICHMENT

British Sign Language (BSL) is a language in its own right. Signing using BSL is useful in a variety of situations, future careers and promotes inclusivity and community. Deaf Awareness & British Sign Language will develop your understanding of the deaf community and provide you the skills and knowledge to communicate effectively using a range of signs. After the course you will sit a multiple-choice exam paper and have a one to one practical to gain a Level One, Level Up Qualification.

HOW OFTEN DOES THIS TAKE PLACE?

The enrichment runs for one hour per week for 10 weeks at a set point in the year.

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF IT?

A widely recognised Level 1, Level Up Qualification.
