CTEC IT requires you to achieve at least the minimum entry requirements for your chosen pathway. The minimum entry requirements will be discussed at open events and at your college interview.

Cambridge Technical (CTEC) Introductory Diploma in IT (1x A Level Equivalent) is available at Wyke.
The Introductory Diploma in Information Technology is a great choice for students who are interested in learning about Information Technology and how it is applied in business. You will also have the opportunity to develop App and Web development skills.
The department uses a number of hi-tech IT suites equipped with the latest hardware and software, a practical lab for the assembly and configuration of computers and networks, and also makes use of interactive on-line resources to facilitate independent learning. Practical skills are an essential part of the course and our well equipped IT suites supported by experienced teachers and skilled technicians ensure opportunities are available to enhance learning and develop skills and confidence in this subject.

The department organises visits and activities to enhance learning and also has links with local businesses and HE providers. You can also join the Wyke Warriors E Sports team, competing against other E Sports teams weekly.
