Results Day 2020

<< Back to all news

We have now made final arrangements for the day and these are detailed below. Ofqual has published resources for students receiving their qualifications this summer and these resources include a student guide to post-16 qualification results. We have published a statement on our approach to the Centre Assessed Grades and specific details about what you can do if you are not happy with your results.

If you have coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, or you have someone in your household who does, you must not attend the college to collect your results in person.

On results day, we will have a large team of people here to support you with guidance, advice and support to help you make the best decision for your next steps. Please take advantage of this. All of the interactions will be appropriately socially distanced. We can support with university progression, clearing or and next steps into employment or further education opportunities. Should you need support and are not able to come in, please email your tutor directly on results day. Following results day, there will be a smaller team of pastoral support on site until the new academic year starts.

Collecting your results in person

We will be releasing the results from 8:30am on Thursday 13th August from the OAK building. There will be a queuing system with social distancing to ensure the safety of students and staff limiting the number of students entering at any one time. Once inside the college, there will be a one-way system in place and results will be collected from the library. Once you have collected your results, you will exit into the outside space in the centre of the college.

We will have a number of curriculum, pastoral and support staff on hand to support and advise you on the day should you need further guidance on your next steps.

You may wear a face covering if you choose to. Remember, if travelling on public transport, you will need a face covering to be allowed to travel.

We will only be allowing students entry to the college. Unfortunately, we cannot allow friends or family to come into the site with you.

If you are unable to attend the morning, you may send a nominated individual. They will need a signed letter of authorisation from you stating you give them permission to collect your results. It must include your name and their name. They will also need to produce ID to confirm their identity. We are unable to provide results by email or over the telephone.

When on site, it is important to minimise contact and mixing as far as possible, all students should aim to practise social distancing at all points.

Digital release of results

We will be publishing all results on through the student portal and parent portal from 10am and you can use your usual login to access these.

We wish you the best of luck for the day and look forward to sharing your celebrations with you.

Regards.
