Wyke is a rapidly growing, highly successful Sixth Form College with an outstanding reputation. The October 2013 Ofsted inspection reflected extremely positively on the College and value-added scores put our outcomes amongst the top in the country. The college draws students from Kingston-upon-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, and further afield.

Wyke is looking to recruit a teacher keen to teach BTEC and A-level Law. This very successful department currently has 3 experienced and highly skilled full-time teachers who have supported students to consistently achieve outstanding outcomes. The successful candidate will be a well-qualified teacher and have excellent classroom skills which have led to a record of high student achievement. This would suit a recently qualified or experienced teacher skilled in delivering lessons with variety and pace.

The college draws students from Kingston-upon-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, and further afield.

The PE department at Wyke is thriving and currently has over 300 students studying examination sport. We also offer extra-curricular sport to all members of the college and currently have over 250 students who participate in college teams and compete regularly at a National Level. In addition the department offers ‘recreational’ clubs which provide the opportunity for over 100 students a week to partake in sporting activities in their leisure time, these include, Badminton, Cricket, Table Tennis, Zumba, American Football, wheelchair Rugby and Volleyball.

A well-qualified teacher of PE/Sport skilled in delivering lessons with variety and pace who is looking for experience in post-16 education is required to teach across the full range of Level 3 courses including BTEC Sport and A-Level PE. A willingness to contribute to College teams and extra-curricular sport is essential as the department is looking to further strengthen its provision. The ability to contribute to another subject would be advantageous.

The college has an ‘Outstanding’ science faculty which is heavily subscribed with increasing numbers. Teachers within the department support students with a range of extra-curricular revision workshops which have helped contribute to the department’s outstanding outcomes.
