Do you have clear vision, excellent leadership skills and high levels of enthusiasm? Would you relish the challenge of taking a College on the threshold of outstanding and securing its position in the top 10% of Sixth Form Colleges nationally?

We are a highly successful Sixth Form College and the largest A-level provider in Hull, East Yorkshire. Many of our students travel significant distances to Wyke due to our excellent results, supportive staff and fully re-developed campus as well as the ethos and values we all support. We have nearly 2000 students and 200 staff and offer a broad curriculum. Our current ALPS value-added scores are 3 for A-level and 2 for BTEC. Wyke is a friendly place to work where staff put the student first and everything is targeted towards making their experience here a fantastic one.

Our current Principal is retiring after 7 years in post and we seek a new Principal to lead the College on its continued journey of success. We would expect our next Principal to have significant senior management experience in this or a very similar education sector and proven experience of raising achievement in their previous roles. As mentioned above, vision, leadership skills and enthusiasm are crucial characteristics in this role. Being able to demonstrate excellent judgement, high levels of data literacy, and highly developed communication skills are also key.

PROGRESS TUTOR

Wyke is a popular, highly successful Sixth Form College with an outstanding reputation in the locality. The October 2013 Ofsted inspection reflected extremely positively on the College and value-added scores put our outcomes amongst the top in the country. The college draws students from Kingston-upon-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, and further afield.

The college has an extremely strong tutorial system and we are looking to recruit an outstanding tutor to work within the specialist team. With responsibility for tutorial guidance and support for students’ success, you will be responsible for eight tutor groups. You will have high expectations, always seeking to maximise the achievements of students and be prepared to go the extra mile to support their progress. The successful candidates will be graduates with experience of working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.

INVIGILATORS

Casual from February 2018

£7.50 – £7.83 per hour

Wyke is a popular, highly successful Sixth Form College with an outstanding reputation in the locality. We teach mainly 16-18 year old students from Hull, the East

Riding and further afield.

We are looking to appoint extra invigilators to work with our exams team to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible for students. The work will be on a casual basis, mainly in May and June of each year.

The successful candidates will be organised with a calm, pleasant manner and experience of working with young people would be an advantage. Significant availability between 30 April and 22 June 2018 is essential and those appointed will be required to attend training on 28/29 February.
