We are all faced with challenges in our daily lives or times when we may find it difficult to cope.
With Further Education being difficult enough, it is vital that those that experiencing personal difficulties are given the correct support and guidance to help combat and improve their own mental health or wellbeing alongside managing their academic success.
Here at Wyke, we care about the mental health and wellbeing of all of our students. As part of the pastoral services, the counselling team are here to act as a listening ear for our student’s needs, offering the relevant support and advice in a non-judgemental environment. Students can access the free and confidential counselling resource to talk about any issues or problems they are experiencing, whether directly related to college or not.
The counselling team are on hand throughout the week in OAK 42 and can also be accessed via email, wellbeing@wyke.ac.uk Students wishing to utilise this service can arrange regular weekly sessions, or alternatively, students can engage in the weekly drop-in sessions.
