This week saw charity Prison Me No Way visit Wyke Sixth Form College to deliver some really thought provoking sessions for our Law and Criminology students.
The sessions were delivered by three prisoners who shared their own unique stories of crime, including the lifestyle choices which led to their imprisonment and the effects that this has had on themselves, their families and future.
The aim of the week was to compliment topics from their A Level and BTEC courses with first-hand accounts of the causes, consequences and penalties of crime.
Students were really appreciative of the open and honest accounts given and we would like to thank each individual for sharing their stories.
“It was really interesting to hear their unique stories and how they have made choices and unfortunately had to learn the hard way” Caitlin Cursons Year 1 Criminology
“Amazing and interesting experience; eye opening and would love to listen again” Isabelle Heath Year 2 Criminology
