Introduction from Principal Paul Britton
On this page you will find our centre policy for awarding grades, and JCQ’s guidance for parents and students. On Tuesday 4th May, all parents and students will be sent an email containing a link to access the material on the evidence base each subject is using to award their grades.
Teachers have been and will continue sharing the evidence used with their students in lessons. We will be asking students to sign to say they understand each process. Please get in touch if you have any further questions regarding the TAG process.
The TAG process is applicable for A Levels and GCSEs. Any vocational courses will be awarding a QTAG and we have published below our current position on this process. Teachers will continue to share this process with their students.

Useful Information and Resources on QTAGs (Vocational Courses)
This Qualification Teacher Assessed Grade (Q-TAG) will be based on a points score gathered from the units students have been taught over the past wo years of their course. These points will be converted into an overall grade.
The unit point scores will be based on the evidence available from all of the student’s work on each unit and will take into account any adaptation guidance from the awarding body which relates to the disruption to their study over the two years.
Further information on the process and the adaptations is available through the Pearson Edexcel website.
