Enrichment

At Wyke, we believe that a rounded Study Programme goes beyond your academic course choices, as gaining great qualifications is just one aspect of your time here. There is an expectation that all students engage in some form of enrichment during their time at the College.

The overall aim of the Enrichment Programme is to provide a range of engaging opportunities and experiences for all students at Wyke to expand new and current interests, improve independence, build character and resilience and – most importantly – to develop a love for learning. Participating in enrichment opportunities whilst studying at Wyke Sixth Form College will enable you to showcase yourself as an individual, not just a learner and help you to stand out from the crowd when applying for university, apprenticeships or work.

Wyke offers many different types of enrichment, a small selection of these include:

  • Arts & Crafts Groups
  • YouTube Society
  • Coding
  • Football
  • Womens Football
  • Student Crew
  • First Aid
  • Fitness Classes
  • Yoga & Well Being
  • Pre-Medical Programme
  • Cross College Production
  • Dance
  • Creative Writing
  • Work Experience

Enrichment activities and courses give you the opportunity to make new friends, develop new skills and importantly take a break from your studies for a few hours every week.
