Last week, 7 members of our Netball team took part in the final stage of the the British College’s England trials at Nottingham Trent University.
The finals saw 80 students from across the country play 10 hours of netball over 2 days.
Following the trials, the captain of the Netball 1st team Emily Hairsine successfully gained a place on the British College’s England netball squad for the 2015-2016 season.
Toni Daddy attended the event along with the coach of the team Debbie Brettell. Looking back at the trials, Toni said: “All of the girls who represented the College were fantastic but Emily was outstanding. She is a very versatile player and she dealt with the pressure of the trials really well.”
Emily will spend 6 weekends away with the team, with her 1st match being played in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Toni, Debbie and the College would like to say well done to all of the girls involved in the trials and wish Emily every success.
