On Tuesday Bertie the Goldendoo made history by being one of the first dogs ever to be allowed access into the Supreme Court in London, the highest court in the country.
Bertie was accompanied by the first year A Level and BTEC Law students who travelled to London to visit the court and tour the Houses of Parliament.
The trip links with the first year of both Law courses. Students learn about the English legal system and the trip gave the students a first-hand view of how laws are made and where the appeals on some of the highest cases are heard.
Following the visit to London, Law teacher Jenny Carter said: “One of my students said that they didn’t want to leave the Houses of Parliament they had enjoyed it that much!”
