Last week, our second year Business students took part in the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week event at the Guildhall.
During the event, Martin Green the Chief Executive of Hull City of Culture 2017 delivered a speech. Mr Green told the students his approach to life and business to encorauge the students to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve success.
Following this talk, the students were introduced to the design brief by Paul Cunningham from Swift Caravans. The students had the task of designing a new caravan for either young people or a family unit.
Our students worked as a team to create the idea of the Podulator, a caravan bought with basic features with a range of pods to create a personalised caravan that could be adapted for every stage of family life.
Once the students decided on their idea, they completed a video pitch and presentation to a panel of judges and audience members and were awarded second place, winning £200 in prize money.
Teacher Elizabeth Blakey said: “The team worked fantastically well to create a viable and realistic proposition, their presentation was excellent and all of the students were inspired and motivated following the event.”
Well done all involved.
