Wyke Sixth Form College invites you to the cross-college production of Grease, the musical. Grease follows love-struck bad-boy Danny (Max Joy) and girl-next-door Sandy (Laura Banks) in a thrilling injection of pure fun with astounding dancing and amazing songs. It’s the beloved rock n’ roll celebration of teen angst, fast cars, and first loves all set in the fabulous fifties.
Grease was originally staged by Wyke in 1988, the year the college opened. To celebrate this 30th anniversary, several members of the eighties cast will be making guest appearances on the final date. This production runs from 22nd to 24th February and features the irresistible songs from the Tony Award nominated Broadway show and hit movie, including:
- “You’re The One That I Want”
- “Grease Is The Word”
- “Summer Nights”
- “Hopelessly Devoted To You”
- “Greased Lightnin’”
- and many more!
Tickets are now on sale from the Oak reception desk or over the phone on 01482 346347. Prices range from £5 for students and concessions, to £8 non-concession. Due to the scale of this year’s production the raking has been taken back to leave only 120 seats per performance. Early sales indicate this this show will sell out, so book early to avoid disappointment.
