For the third year running one of only two places available each year on BAE Systems Aerospace Software Development Degree Apprenticeship at Brough has gone to a Wyke BTEC Extended Diploma IT student, prior to that Wyke had another Extended Diploma student who secured a place on their engineering higher apprenticeship.

Over the summer there was even more great news as former Extended Diploma student Luke Bellamy made it through the selection process to secure a year’s internship with BAE Systems Yeovil for the industrial year of his Loughborough University Computer Science degree.

Earlier this month, former Extended Diploma student Chris Wilson, who graduated from the University of Birmingham this year, has secured a position as Graduate Engineer at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, based in Gloucester.

Head of Computing Kevin Penny said, “So now we have six Wyke Extended Diploma IT students working for one of the world’s most advanced technology companies. Congratulations to them all.”

Places are still available on our BTEC Extended Diploma IT. Please apply through the college website at http://wyke.ac.uk/courses/apply-online/
