Wyke is a rapidly growing, highly successful Sixth Form College with an outstanding reputation in the locality. The college draws students from Kingston-upon-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, and further afield.

Government and Politics is a very successful course at Wyke which has produced consistently very strong outcomes for our students. Enrichment opportunities have been made available for students such as Political Hustings at election times as well as participation in television debates for Channel 4 news (Brexit). Teachers within the department support students with a range of extra-curricular activities which have helped contribute to the department’s strong outcomes and students’ commitment to the subject.

We are looking for an outstanding Teacher of A Level Politics to join the department, skilled in engaging students and creating an environment conducive to achievement. You should be a technically skilled teacher who has experience in or is keen to work in post-16 education. You will have high expectations, always seeking to maximise the achievements of students and prepared to go the extra mile to support their progress.
