If you play an instrument or sing, you can continue lessons at Wyke with Hull Music Service, or one of our in-house teachers (flute, voice & guitar). It is a requirement of A Level Music students to take instrumental lessons to develop their practice. It is a requirement of the A Level Music course that students have regular instrument lessons either through the services we offer, another local music service or a private teacher.
Lessons typically take place weekly on a lunch period.
Grades 6, 7 and 8 all carry UCAS points which could help get you into university and look great on any application or CV.
There are fees associated with taking instrument lessons and these vary. The base rate for lessons for a year is £525, however substantial discounts are available for students in the orchestra and A-Level Music students. Deadlines for these fees are firm throughout the year and lessons will be withdrawn if fees are not paid by the deadlines. Subsidies are available for students involved in the orchestra and A Level Music students.
